Heh, almost anything you want it to... There are way too many things to list but... anything from a forum like this, to a chat room, to laying out an entire web page, to small things like controlling user logins...

Basically, there is no limit (within reason at least) to what can be done with PHP/MySQL..

The OpenBB Bulletin Board is already in your control panel and that's the one I would suggest using...

As for a chat room... I am going to be using www.phpheaven.net's chat room when I get the rest of my site going, but... I dunno what else is really available. I'd suggest going to some script resource places and searching for what is available. (like www.hotscripts.com)

Have fun!

Just would like to point out that the newer versions of CPANEL include XMB and not OPEN BB

yeah, I'm using CPanel 4.4, and it's XMB, although I know most of the pre v4.0 versions included OpenBB, but it was quite an old version (Beta I think), best thing to get as you say is the final release at www.iansoft.net

I have a feeling Cpanel will be switching from XMB to OpenBB because XMB is dead now.
