I chose HR to host the website that I am creating for a business last Friday (3/8/02) and haven't been able to use it yet. I did have a brief exchange with tech support but haven't heard from them in four day's now. I've been reading various threads in the communities and have come to find out that this sort of thing is not uncommon. What is most troubling is the fact that I went ahead and signed up for a full year without researching the company first (my own fault).
This thread is not a question but simply a way to vent sence I'm at a loss of what to do. My customer is extremely disatified with me and there's nothing I can do about it. I guess the only question that I can come up with is, "Has anyone anything good to say about HR"?

"Has anyone anything good to say about HR"?

tough question. I would've normally have said that HR is a very good hosting company, but I also have had a lot of problems in the past 2mths. I've yet to have a respond to a ticket that I submitted earlier this morning, 13hrs ago (quick response time huh?).
But, I am hoping that this is all just temp. till they get everything in place. Only time will tell.

hostrocket is a good company, they cant stop vdi from having problems, as soon as they have moved all the servers from vdi to the new noc, it will be brilliant.
my semi-dedicated account which is in the new noc, has had no downtime, and is as fast as ever!

you have signed up at a bad time. Recently, VDI (I believe they provide the bandwidth and to HR, correct me if im wrong) has been having numerous troubles. This is not HR's fault! They are actually getting their own datacenter and moving everyone very soon. If you would have waited a week to sign up, this would have been avoided. Just a coincedence.
For me, I have been with HR for more than 2 years and besides VDI being down a couple of months ago and the thing with the credit cards, HR has been perfect. They were my first and only host so I can not compare but for $10 a month, I get a whole lot of stuff and great customer support.
Like I said before, just an awful coincedence, wait until they resolve this and then you will be happy... I hope... :)

With the exception of one, the TT's I've submitted to HR support have been responded to in 10/15 min. flat. I've experienced a helluva lot of 'near no support' at other hosts and so far I'm Super Pleased with HostRocket. Maybe you just got in while support is streached a bit thin with the move to the new data center but hang in there! (well, I guess you will since you paid up front for a year) Also, explain your problem here if you like. There's alot of knowledge here and I've learned and solved a few prob's just by reading posts.

OK
The problem is that I can't access my account. When I attempt to access my control panel (Or anything else) it say's that my username and password are invalid. At one point I was able to upload a "Site under construction" page, but when I attempted to view it on the web it actually prompted for a username and password, (Which of course I don't appear to have). Tech support seemed to think that reseting my account would fix the problem but it did not. (They tried twice) That was four day's ago.
Any idea's?

ename5150,
Check out this post http://forums.hostrocket.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8754 ( [url)and try Email for support.
Obviously there are VDI issues right now and even getting to the support page can be difficult. Email to support seems to be the best way to contact them from what I've read here tonight. Try not to be to exasperated with them as they must be hammered right now.
Sure wish I had one of their overtime checks for this week!
