I don't know if this is related to the domain not being registered yet or not, but I am having a problem with phpBB incorrectly determining the url of the site. The installation went smoothly, but I cannot login to the admin panel and none of the links work on the forum because the script is determining the url as http://host26.hrwebservices.net/forums/ and omitting the ~war3pub username. Is there a way to fix this? We do not have time to wait for the domain to get registered, this needs to be set up ASAP. The full address to the forums is http://host26.hrwebservices.net/!war3pub/forums if you would like to check out the problem yourself, right click on the red x's that should be images and scroll down to properties. Its pointing to the wrong place!
Our newspro cgi script is also having problems, and I believe it is due to the same problem. Is there a workaround? Or are we stuck waiting for the domain?

It's because your domain hasn't resolved yet, dont worry I had the same problem. The code links to just "/forums" which is a problem when your domain doesn't resolve. Once your domain resolves everything will work. Also, take a look at phpBB 2.0 (http://phpbb.sourceforge.net/phpBB2), it's a lot better than 1.4x eventhough it's a beta version. The beta version though is fully upgradable to the final release when it comes out so there's nothing to lose basically. The download is off SourceForge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpbb)

and how long does this usually take? We registered the domain with hostrocket 2 days ago and the domain is still up on networksolutions.com as being available :(

Nope, the domain was up for grabs when we registered.
At 4:00pm today I have waited 3 days longer then 72 hours. :(
Ps: Is this why my ikonboard doesn't work ether? Thank you :)
