does your main page have to be called index.html ??
Where can I find some set up info to get started ??

far as I know, your start page has to be index.html. you could make index.html be a re-direct script that doesn't give any warning, which would forward you to some other .html page

I do believe they have Apache configured to look for index.anything. It can be index.php, index.htm, html, shtml, dthml, or even index.txt. That's the way my apache server installed by default.

I have uploaded my index page to every dagon folder on the server and I get zip/...... www.widabang.com zip nadda

When did you register your domain?

I checked several whois directories as well as my own DNS server at work and:

widabang.com

Does not exist in any system yet. If you just registered it, it takes 24-94 hours to process and propagate through the DNS Databases across the internet.

Try going to your IP instead as outlined in your welcome email.

Seems it just made it into the system yesterday. Now your 48-72 hour wait begins for DNS propagation. Just make sure that the DNS servers listed in your "welcome" email match those above.

yes , I saw yesterday that they finally made it in. But still
tapping my foot waiting for the domain name to kick in.
Thank god the DNS servers match.

On another note. I registered to transfer another domain name
from one company to another but by accident I requested the transfer from 2 different companies and entered my CC info on
both. Am I just out the transfer fee or do you think they will refund ? doubt it... Too many bong hits... what I get I guess.
