Having problems installing scripts

I've installed scripts on different sites before and they worked fine, but when I try to install it on my domain cgi-bin folder I get a 500. Sometimes the script will work but it suddenly redirects me to a different place on the first http:// in the script. Can someone please help me?

what types of scripts are you having problems with?

erm ... i'm having the same problem too. >.<
i've never had any problems installing cgi before when i used to be hosted by someone else, and im not having problems with cgi in my main folder, but when i try to install cgi on my subdomains, it always throws a 500 no matter how carefully i upload and set permissions.
i'm trying to install an oekaki bbs and also, greymatter...which is really strange since i already have one greymatter which works perfectly in my main cgi-bin. it only stuffs up when i try to set one up in a subdomain folder...
i've triple checked permissions and uploaded in ascii and binary as instructed. if it works in my main folder...why won't it work on a subdomain??
