I'm think of offering a huge auction service, or something that would draw more visitors and returning visitors. I run a incentive site located at freebiesforever.com, and was wondering what kind of service would my visitors be interested in. and what you all would like displayed on my site that may draw more returning visitors? Does anyone know of any easy to use cgi scripts for a auction? Give me your ideas please!.

The best script out there in my opinion is Auction-Script. You can check it out at www.auction-script.com. To see the script in action, visit my site at www.rocketshoppe.com. Tell Splatt that Scott H sent you.

Thanks, I'll check them out.
Cool auction script. However, I noticed nobody seems to be offering the service for a price. Is there any way the service could be used to generate money for your site? What are your thoughts on this?

Yeah, I'v been thinking about that, but for some wierd reason the scripts aren't working right. I got 2 scripts set up, but there's something wrong with each one.
http://www.freebiesforever.com/cgi-bin/auction.pl
this one the catagorys won't show up.
and the other one is
http://www.freebiesforever.com/cgi-bin/auctionweaver.pl
and this one won't let me add any catagorys. gives me a error: http://www.url....com/catagory.file cant be found.
Always,

Auction-Script does have accounting built into it so that you can charge sellers, just like eBay. My site is a free site so I don't use those features. The demo auction that is online for people to play with at www.auction-script.com has the accounting features turned on. If you play with the demo, you'll get a good idea how the user end works. There's a lot of features at the admin end as well.
