Shopping Cart help

Is there any help about using the Shopping Cart provided by HR? I need to use it, but I don't know how to. I need all the info about it.
Anyone has experience with it? What about the credit card processing? How does it works?

Well, the general conscensus seems to be....
the Akopia cart is
a-difficult to configure
b-way too complicated for most users needs
c-kinda buggy and downright ornery

You might want to check out other cart scripts you can download and install yourself sucj as Agora.cgi, or TheExchangeProject.php...
I'm sure othe rfolks on the board will back me up on this and have other suggestions as well...

As far as CC processing, most carts feature the ability to interface with whatever creditcard processing service you have subscribed to. It's a seperate issue. You have to search around and find a system that fits your biz and then figure out how to make it work with the cart software you've chosen.
If you are a small biz you may want to go with a 3rd party processor who collects the $$ for you and mails you periodic checks/direct deposits. This is really easy to set up online, very quick (you can start selling almost immediately) and relatively cheap.

If you want to go big time you can get a business license and apply for your very own merchant account with several providers. It costs a lot more but ultimately allows you more direct control of transactions and the money itself.
It's a big scam, but it's the only system in there is, so there you go.
