A question for you fine folks... after doing quite a bit of research, I decided to switch hosts and go with HR for my soon-to-be-launched site. When I wrote with some questions a month or two ago, I received answers almost immediately. Which was a big reason I wanted to go with HR.

I registered online last night, and the screen told me I'd done so successfully. But I never got a setup letter or any kind of acknowledgement. I submitted two requests (one via email, one a trouble ticket) and did receive an autoresponder reply, but I still haven't heard from a human being and don't know what the status of my account is. As there are several mentions on the HR site to the effect that you can begin uploading your site "within minutes," I'm assuming I should have gotten something by now.

Is this typical? Any other ideas as to what I can do? I don't even have a good second-choice candidate, so I'm really hoping this works out... thanks!

Elizabeth

You could contact them via the Aol Instant Messager. They are nearly always available under the buddy name "rocketsupport". Just a thought...

If you have your domain set up already and your email address that you use now is you@yourdomain.com, and you subscribe with that address under that domain, then it will fail to email properly.

This happens because the email sees that it is on the hostrcket servers and doesn't send it outside to ind the address. THerefore, even with your domain not set up properly to point to HR, it thinks tha's where it's going.

Hi,

As he said, make sure you are using an 'off network' email address when you send in trouble tickets and in filling out the order form.
