.htacess to block a person....

Basically, this person has been leaving rude comments at all my blogs, abusing my boards (he's been posting porn and other junk, and has joined and been banned/had his password changed six times) and i'm just sick of this.

I've heard that you can use .htaccess to block a person from viewing your sites, but i'm completely clueless with this type of thing (and i'm scared of messing my site up, lol). If anyone can help me I'll really appreciate it. *hugglesquash*

In your .htaccess add: deny from <ip address>
eg:
deny from 12.34.56.789

Of course this only helps if the user has a static ip address.

You can also ban a range of addresses
eg:
deny from 12.34.56.
or
deny from .alexa.com
