Well you guys inspired me to make a cool new script called "Site Mover v1.0" what it does is allow you to configure one simple little Perl script upload it and call it via the web then... you have a complete mirror image of your site in one compressed tar-gzip file and you just download it and upload it to your new server then follow instructions on how to untar-gzip it and voila! a complete copy of your site on your new site. I tryed it and did some thing of the sort on a friends site and i'm happy to say it worked like a charm and he has all his files from him old site on his new server. At the moment saying as I kinda whipped it together it does not have a site yet however I have included a small readme file so read that and all should be ok you can download this great script at http://pankow.hypermart.net/scripts/sitemove.zip. If you require assiatance getting this setup just send me an e-mail. Hope everyone enjoys this little (but nifty) script!

Hi,
Thanks for the great script. Just one problem. It creates the old directory structure of the Alabanza type server when I am moving to the new servers.

Is there a way to make it so it just takes the files in yourdomain-www on the alabanza and then packages them up so I can replicate them in public_html on the new servers?

Everyting works great accept that all the paths are not corresponding when I move to the new servers. If you can do what I mentioned above, Please let me know ASAP!

Thanks a bunch, you're great!
