Simple FTP Help

Newbie here, trying to upload my new website to my domain (using ftp). I am using the "Web Studio" software which has a built in ftp program. My problem is putting in the right ftp address for uploading.

ftp://mysite.com is what i've tried using... any suggestions?

Is that an FTP program?

umm for me I do the ftp.domain.com and then load the files into the folder "public_html"
