Yes... I'm sure with all my tech support questions they've had to hire a special tech support rep just to handle mine. Suppose that may have caused the increase. :)

When will this affect our bills? ASAP or a little later?

Yeah, you don't get better features to pricing ratio than this.

Actually, you might get a little more features for the price. But you will NEVER get the support for this price.

I found a company a while ago that offered WAY MORE FEATURES THAN HOSTROCKET. And WAY LOWER PRICES. In fact, it had every feature for every type of user except two.

THe two that it lacked were
customer support.....

.....and......

....*WORKING* servers

WHich is why, even through the many troubles of moving etc, etc, I am still not moving to another service.

So just how much did it go up by?

It used to be $9.95/mo on a month by month basis. I don't remember if there was a discount for longer terms. Now it's $12.95/mo on a month by month or $9.95 if you pay for the year. The features also increased: 3 MySQL databases --> 10 MySQL databases for example.

I got in just under the wire. My only issue with paying more than a month in advance is you never know how service is going to turn out. I had a very bad experience just before moving my site here. I was at one location for only 4 weeks before I had to pack up and move! I was paying more for a lot less.

So far, these guys have been excellent. In the scheme of things, another $3/mo wouldn't faze me (don't tell Hostrocket). But everybody wants to feel like they're getting a good deal. I think I am.
