I'm trying to change my initial password in the Control Panel and no matter what I enter it is rejected with message the password is "too short". I've tried passwords as long as 16 characters and still get this message. What are the rules for master passwords?

I'm not sure, but I'm sure that if you send in a Trouble Ticket, with the password you desire, they'll change it for you. The CP is sometimes buggy. Couple of days ago it was saying that I had used 4GB of bandwidth in one day, which was also the day I signed up too.

Anyways, I sent in a TT and they told me I had barely used 10MB...lol. So yeah, just send in a TT. http://forums.hostrocket.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I think I found out the problem. I sent in a trouble ticket and their first reply was to ask if I were using any special characters. I was since this is what is required at work (something like Bozo$Rocket01) where they require both lower and upper case, specia characters AND numbers in a password.

Since they asked, I tried a password with just upper case, lower case letters and numbers. It took. hat's probably the problem, can't use special characters. They should post this to the FAQ (Password checks).
