No takers?
I think I know what "parking" means, but not what it does:
- can a parked domain receive email? (it would go to the domain at which it's
parked, of course). I would really be interested in this.
- can it point to some arbitrary path/subodmain on the parked domain?
- is it just some "under construction" page on HR somewhere?

More then likely, the domain parking that HostRocket offers is like this.. Say your active website is called Boogers.com. Say you also have Snot.com and Nosecandy.com. If you want to park snot.com and nosecandy.com on hostrocket, they will more then likely point to your main website. They won't be able to receive mail, they won't do anything, but sit there. Hope this answer is mostly correct. =)

Domain parking is also called as domain monetization, where you show ads from CPC(Cost Per Click) networks. In the former, advertisements are shown to visitors and the domain is 'monetized'.

Whenever any visitors clicks on those ads, you earn specific amount of money.
