I would like to suggest to any customer to request an alternate method of sending your Credit Card # for the promotion rather than over a trouble ticket. The Trouble Tickets are not SSL encrypted and you jeopardize the security of your card by sending it over the Internet without it being encrypted. I can assure you that I know the risk is high, I work for First USA in the Credit Fraud Analysis Department and a high degree of fraud cases we get are as a result of non-SSL protected transactions. It's real and can happen. Non secure communications over the Internet can be intercepted in the network.

1. The rocketsupport.com trouble ticket interface is secure
2. You are sending in only the first 2 and last 4 digits of your card. This is the same info that is standardly emailed in plaintext to customers after credit card transactions so they know what card the info was sent on. Noone can do anything with the first 2 and last 4 digits of your credit card number. This info is usually even printed on ATM receipts.

The Trouble Ticket from client to Server is not secure. If you are only sending in the first 2 and last 4 digits, no harm done. You are right it would be useless and it is common practice for that to be in E-mail to confirm an order. I apologize if that was noted in the announcement and I somehow failed to notice it.

I just checked the announcement, I can't believe I overlooked where you said first 2 and last 4 digits. Sorry for the confusion. Perfectly safe to do so since only first two and last four.
