Ftp help.

I don't really know much about setting up ftp accounts.
My question is, lets say i make a ftp account for a friend.. are they able to view all my files and folders or could i make it... so they could only view and upload to one folder??

Yes, that's the way it works.
Let's say you create an account named defiant.
The "home" for that account will be /home/your-username/public_html/defiant so the only thing he/she will see is that folder.
