ViaTalk claims to provide U.S. and Canada Unlimited Calling.

Having decided I like the ViaTalk service and paid for a 2-year subscription - all of the sudden I now cannot call an entire town.

I am being told ViaTalk does not really have unlimited calling in the U.S. and Canada they claim plain as the nose on your face right on the website, and in two places to boot.

This is false advertising and against the law.

Do you really plan on going over 5100 minutes per month? That's a lot of minutes. We have a large household and the most we have ever used in a month is 1500 minutes. So 5100 minutes for us is unlimited calling...as we do not have to watch our minutes based on our usage. I believe 5100 minutes is something like 5 times the average monthly usage for callers, IIRC.

Let's be fair to the poster.
Is there a limit or not? If so, then it is NOT un-limited.

I also agree with the replies: 5100 minutes per month is an INCREDIBLE amount.
While I was deciding, I did uncover this fact also.
It annoyed me to think the claim is unlimited when it is not.
But it is a great value.

I'd say the company should consider re-thinking how they present this and call it "virtually" unlimited LOL.
