I'm trying to install the latest and greatest e-commerce solution and it requires the pdo-mysql extensions to complete the installation. I tried enabling them via a custom php.ini file, but it didn't work. Is it possible to get these extensions installed on just my account or is it a global php setting that HR is not going to install just because I want it?

You would need to send in a support ticket for this request. I can confirm though that custom php.ini files are disallowed and blocked.
