Even though I have had this service for over 18 months, I think support sucks. I am month to month and I would never sign a long term deal. The VOIP is ok. The features are nice. Support sucks! Carmin Clark is awful, knows nothing about VOIP and routing! If he handles your ticket, then do not expect a fix...

I am fairly new to ViaTalk and also have monthly service after terrible service with v**p.com. I am very satisfied with ViaTalk and support. I have used support to get my router configured correctly and Carmin was very helpful. Two other minor issues were taken care of quickly by support also. So far, so good!

Your response is timely. No, I concluded by myself that the problem was your fax2email service. Once I cancelled the service, my VOIP went back to working the way it was suppose to. Go figure, it wasn't the router! You might want to let Carmin know!

Don't take this the wrong way John, a monkey can configure a consumer router. The wizard basically walks you through the steps.
A decent engineer knows how to troubleshoot. And better yet, he will listen when his client provides valuable information! Carmin does neither...
If he made you happy, Kudos to Carmin!

My calls to support have gone well, never waiting more than a couple minutes and getting helpful answers. Tickets are responded to quickly (the good) but do lack any substance (the bad), making me wonder if they actually read the messages. And speaking of reading the messages, the ViaTalk forums have to rank a one or two out of five. I wonder if anyone from ViaTalk reads them. Look at the last dates of many posts. There seems to be no response ever to requests for new, useful features.
ViaTalk's billing methods, while definitely legal, are also definitely shady. Too bad they cannot be completely upfront and honest. In the end, they are the loser.
My phone service through ViaTalk, however, has been excellent. I have been very pleased with the quality and reliability of the service. As good as any.
So will I sign up with ViaTalk again? Maybe. So close, but just not there yet.
