I was a happy user with Vonage for 2 years. I switched to Lingo because they had that feature to forward unwanted calls by number. That was good but Lingo had an horrible control panel with calls time of GMT and does not always worked. The sound was bad and customer service hard to understand. I open a temporary account with Viatalk. I filled the letter of authorization to port the phone number from Lingo. The porting was scheduled for 28 feb. I worked hard to make my adapter(PAP2) to work with Viatalk. I did not have sound on incoming calls. Outgoing calls were OK. So, on 27 I called customer service and I clossed my account telling them to stop porting my number. They say that the number will not be ported. On 28 feb They sent me an email that the number was ported successfully. I called Lingo and like usual they told me that they cannot do anything. Called Viatalk and finally they open my account again. I change my PAP2 setting with new credentials but this time with sanfrancisco server and BINGO. Everything was ok including incoming calls. I have no idea why I did not have sound with temporary number assigned and why now is working almost perfectly.
