Where do you find the BYOD settings for VIATalk? It is not in their knowledgebase, or in any sticky that I can find? I need a list of the servers since the one I am on now seems to be having issues. Anyone have this list?

Thanks,

Eric

Eric, There are so many adapters out there that I think the scope of your question is a little hard to answer. Even the terminology of the settings can be different between adapters. I was lucky in that my adapter defaults were sufficient to get me up and running and then over a period of time I have made some changes. Other than the basic account entries the only thing I had changed, which were required, was to change to inband DTMF signaling. I also changed to TRAP waveform for the ring as some of my phones needed it to ring properly. I also put in a 10 digit dialing plan. I turned on STUN and NAT although I didnt seem to need it and changed the DNS to VT, again for no particular need so. I will follow with a list of servers. Wonder where you are located for server selection??

If you read the related thread there is info on pinging and tracing the number of hops for the servers. This will enable you to find the one with the least number of hops and lowest amount of loss packets (best clarity).

Hope this helps :D

There is a "Wiki" site now with lots of helpful information. Check out server choices here:
