I never got an e mail saying that the new CP was ready...
Which I thought it might have happened, with it being the really BIG thing on HR..
but anyway

Hi,
There should be a button on your old cp mentioning it?

Though personnel at Hostrocket may view their systems each day, not all customers do and therefore, customers will not know of changes when they occur. People also have a tendency to see what they expect to see, so they might not notice the Update Control Panel button, especially if their browser is set in such a way so that it is down the page and out of view. Customer communication should always be considered form the customer's point of view and I would agree that timely, detailed, informative and friendly e-mail updates would be a huge plus rather than placing the onus on the customer to find information you want them to have. Why does Hostrocket not have such a newsletter?

Hi,
I made the button as big and flashing as I could. We dont have an effective way of collecting all the emails from our alabanza billing system because it sucks. As we get everyone moved over to our new one, we will be able to implement this better because its our own software and we can do what we like with it.

Brendan,
Ah, I understand and there is not much of a way around that with your old system. Good that it is being corrected. Thank you for the clarification, it is very helpful.
I did notice the button.
I am still very curious as to the cut off date for when accounts much be off the old system. As you know, I am a tad reluctant to move over since some of the problems with the new are in the services that I need. I presented this in http://knowledgebase.hostrocket.com/showthread.php?threadid=291 but have not seen a reply.
Take care,
Dennis

Brendan,
Thank you for your reply. Can I assume then that if needed, one can stay on the old system for a year, two years . . .? Are enough customers not moving so as to have this remain profitable? We would hate to be the last one, likely through our own laziness, that held up your transition. We are trying to set up our time lines for what we need to do in regards to the sites and hosting and therefore any details would be helpful and appreciated.
Regards,
Dennis
