cannot use database

I just created a new db and I was able to create a table in it. I added users to the db, but they aren't listed under the db in the MySQL Manager. Also, when I try to connect to it via php, I get this error:

Database error: cannot use database clear-s_test
MySQL Error: 0 ()
Session halted.

You may need to contact support for this issue as it sounds like there is a configuration problem either with your control panel, or possibily the SQL server needs to get a quick reboot to get working again.
