View Full Version : Busy signal for outgoing fax

I have a dedicated fax line ($9.95) with its own SR gizmo. I can receive faxes, but when I try to dial out I get a busy signal.

As I said I have 2 gizmos and if I switch the phone line and fax line (so the fax # is actually my 1st line #) both incoming and outgoing phone calls work.

I configured both my gizmos and used the fax phone # for user name and the faxes password for password.

Is there something else I have to do? Is a fax line different than a regular phone line in set up? I cannot find info on forums except about the baud rate, but I don't even get that far.

Thanks for the help

Check your dial plan on the fax line. I'm not familiar with the sunrocket device, but busy signals when dialing are usually indicative of the dial plan. Just copy the one that is working on your voice line.
