When you have a successful # port did you lose all your old "settings" or customized options?

Specifically - Custom Caller ID for incoming calls? Blocked Caller List? E911?

My problem -- I was ported from AT&T and I can now log into the site with my ported # rather than the old temp VT #. However almost all references on my billing site reference the old VT #. When I check my call log all calls are showing up as their default Caller ID (i.e. "cell phone GA") and some numbers I know I blocked before are getting through and do not appear any any blocking ability.

On some options there is a drop down option that has the old VT # in it, but not my new ported number so I don't know if I'm setting up this stuff again just to have it go bye-bye sometime or if this time it will stick.

Did anybody else have this same problem? Is this just a side effect of the porting or did something go askew when I got ported?

Finally, and a rather SERIOUS issue, but I'm not willing to waste my time on hold for this...

My E911 has the wrong ported # on it. There are two 1's before my area code . It should be "1770", but it shows as "11770" then my number. When I try to edit the E911 info it will not let me so I've given up.

This is serious because I have a 18month at home and if my wife should have to call 911 I'm worried it will not be accurate. My old VT # shows the correct information, but I'm not sure if that's current on the E911 system or not. So for the time being I've told her if she needs 911 while at home to call on the cell phone.

Hopefully others have similar stories and the "fix" to some of this. I'm just waiting for VT to get back around to reading trouble tickets to hope the E911 stuff gets fixed. It's #3 of my open trouble tickets that go back to 8/16.

I think I read that the caller ID settings get changed when you set up the new number (which is why I waited to set them up). My problem has been that my outbound and inbound calls no longer work since the porting. Did this happen to your number?

The bad news: I also did have to set up blocked, speed dial and caller ID settings again after my number ported.
The good news: Since my number ported in April, I have not had to reset any of these options and they have continued to work (except for a few times when they were doing upgrades) to this day.

For the 911 issue, CALL THEM. They are really backlogged on tickets that were submitted online. I know Brendan said that since things are settling down tickets should be responded to in the next few days, but you really should call them.

I suspect that your E911 is probably fine, but it's best not to take any chances.
