For all the new VT members, and those with newly ported numbers, be sure to check your Enhanced 911 entry in your VT control panel.
It's not updated automatically with your number port, and maybe not even with a new account (I didn't check it then, so I don't know). When my number ported over, I had to manually enter the information.
VT does warn you, when you log in with your ported number, all about the E911 thing. But it's legalese. They don't really spell out clearly that there's nothing in the E911 database for you at that point, that you'll have to make that happen yourself.
