All,
Like so many other's I am here from Sunrocket. I have an innomedia giz. (it's behind a router that does QOS) worked fine with SR, even better with TB. When I changed to Viatalk I ran into an issue:
My settings were these:
System Enable Provisioning Process = FALSE;
SIP Proxy Server = richmond-2.vtnoc.net:5060;
Current Local Signaling Port 5060
SIP Domain = vtnoc.net;
STUN Disabled
CODECs: G711(PCMU)
Voice Packetization: 20 ms active
RTP port: 16384 active
Silence Suppression: No active
Echo Cancellation: Yes <-------------changed this to "no"
DSCP: 160,0xa0
DHCP Check Option 43 enable
My 1st problem:
When talking on the phone you could not talk and hear at the same time (walkie talkie kinda call).
After removing echo cancelation via telnet I could and talk and hear at the same time, but now I have a faint echo (not my phone, whoever is on the other side of the call)
SOOOO, it seems echo cancel doesn't work effectively anymore, or I am missing something. Anyone have this issue? or can you suggest a way to tweak echo cancelation to work and not maul my phone call ?
Anyone dump their innomeda and use another ATA :p
Any and all suggestions are apprciated! :confused:
