we've moved house and the telco line has been severed inside the house - which i assumed was fine since i'm not using it.

however; after i wired a new phone outlet to it and plugged in my Viatalk PAP my phones will no longer ring in.

i have standard 4 wire [red/black/yellow/green] wiring and jacks and all corresponding wires have been connected.

so, for those of you who are tech savy or have solved the same delema;

how should the first jack [coming from my PAP] be wired?

Maybe a dumb question, but did you "unplug" your new house from the main line outside? Easy to forget, but not a good thing.

If so, and you say the wires were cut inside the house you may not have a complete circuit to play with.

As far was wiring the jack, I would look at one of the other jacks in the house if you have more than one, or the main hook up outside the house to see what colors are hooked up to which terminals.
