The Gizmo works when it is connected directly to my cable modem output. When connect the Gizmo using the directions, through the router it not only does not work it brings down my internet connection (wifi link still works). When I had my SR Gizmo connected we had to use it between my router and the cable modem and change the Gizmo address to . . . something ending in .10 rather than .1, it took me about 3 days to find the right tech at SR that knew what to change.
With the VT gizmo going behind the router it looks like it is going to be a big problem! The VT tech line has me holding at #64 and I don't have the cell min. to be on hold that long.
Anyone know what has to be done to configure the Gizmo or my Netgear FWG114P to get both working together?
UPDATE!!!!! GOT THE GIZMO WORKING - I shut everything down again, turned on the modem, wait until the lights stabilized, then turned on the router, did a little internet work for about 30 min, then just for the heck of it turned on the gizmo, low and behold the gizmo now works and I have all 4 lights on full. You must have to wait 5 min or more for the router to stabilize before turning on the gizmo Still do not know what my second phone number is but I can wait for now.
