Hi:

I signed up for VT on 7/17. I called and talked to support caller number 129. He told me that the wait time was about 1 week before the order was processed. I then called on the 24, Called number 116, After holding on for a few hours. This gentleman told me that the wait times are 3 weeks and if I need it sooner, I need to give another $9.95 as urgent fees. Which I did. M order was processed the next day. And the day after I got an email from the number transfer department that they are working on the number transfer.

Some suggestions for VT:

Can you please post on your website, which dates' order is being processed?
Are you active working with SR to transfer the customers numbers' faster as SR has decided to close doors on 8/5?

I called in at 1:15 today and called number 139, I am donw to caller number 4, then went to 5. If good information is posted on your website, your call load would also go down.

I do understand that VT is flooded with calls and emails and requests, but it would be really nice to have some sort of update with an expected completion time.

BY the way, I have been a VT customer for about a 1 year and their service has been flawless.

Hey!!! here's a Good Idea?, why would anyone want to setup with a company that can not even reply to a email request, can not answer their support phones or process an order, it's like no ones home and all the kids are running a muck there!!! I say if you do not or can not get a reply with-in 24-48 hours then move on to a provider that can get it done. I had the pleasure to find one that when you place your order you first get a welcome email, then in a mater of minutes you all get anothing email with your temp phone number and then right after that you get your shipping email notice (Oh and be the way it only took them 5 days to port my number) which was cool because it happened to be the same day I got my adapter by Fed-Ex. Pluged it in and it worked right out of the box, in fact one of their customer service rep's called me on the line and asked me if I would like to keep the temp number that they gave me to use while they were porting my number.

A year ago, i wouldn't have thought that VT could ever be this non communicative with their customers, especially under these (or any) conditions. Is this what we can look forward to from them, whenever they are under a heavy workload?

I'm thinking of the CEO's prior confidenc in his 'commitment to the customer" statements and wondering now if thats meant to be a narrower meaning than what it looks like?

They might require you pay for "priority service" before they will hear your inputs within an hour? (Like most politicians today).
