I'm successfully on Viatalk now with my BYOD Sunrocket gizmo, the AC-211. I can make and receive calls successfully, etc. I'm using the G711 codec.

My concern is quality. Testing it out with my wife, it was fine. However, when I called Viatalk's own support line and sat on hold, I got extremely strange, but consistent behavior:

- The "operator" voice telling you where you are in line always came through crystal clear and perfect

- The "marketing girl" voice telling you new orders have to be placed on the website would cut in and out constantly; it was impossible to follow

- The elevator music barely came through at all

In contrast, when calling from my cellphone everything was clear.

Thoughts? I also have this crazy idea that Viatalk has some special magic that happens for calls from customers to Viatalk themselves to avoid carrier fees, so the problem could be particular to calling Viatalk.

I think the breakup of the marketing girl and music is on ViaTalk end. I don't think it is an issue with your setup. I suspect the machine that is playing that recording is a bit stressed. :-)

Could you post screenshot of the other pages you changed? I have changed everything in the gizmo as per the instructions from around, and the "ready" light blinks and the "voice" light never comes on, so no dial tone... My only though is I am using the wrong password in the line 1 SIP screen. But the password field is blanked out in the "Softphone Settings" and the one that was in the e-mail doesn't seem to work. What am I missing? I can post screen shots if it would help.
