I am a SR refugee. I connected up and provisioned my Innomedia Gizmo last night. Inbound and outbound calling works great.
But I noticed when I tried to access VT Voice Mail or any other Voice Mail system, after the call is connected, the DTMF tones are not received by the system called.
Are you experiencing this same issue? If not what firmware are you running?
Any help would be appreciated.
I searched some forums and found one entry about setting DTMF to "INBAND" on the LinkSys unit.
I logged into the Innomedia Gizmo and searched each page and found nothing.
I read through the Administrator Manual for the Innomedia Gizmo and found nothing.
I called VT tech Support and they had no suggestions other than the Linksys fix.
I even resorted to requesting help from tech support @ Innomedia.com - no response as yet.

I got the fix from the DSLReports Forum
The "INBAND" DTMF must be configured via telnet
Configuring 2833 (C2)
Use "C2" command to enable/disable 2833
Telnet to the IP address of the MTA and login with the admin account
You will get a partial list of the commands;
Cr: Enable/Disable Polarity Reversal
C3: Enable/Disable Call Features
Cx: Configuring EMS
C: Configuration: IP Information
Cf: Display the Current IP Information
Ci: Configure the IP Information
Cw: Change Password
E: Exiting and Logout
G: Voice Volume Control
Ga: Set Voice Volume for Each Channel
H: Help Menu
I: Information About this System
Id: Display VoIP DigitMap
Ig: Display Voice Volume Level
Ij: Display Parameters for Jitter Buffer Operation
Is: Display the State of All Ports/Lines
Ix: Display network connection and UA registration status
Ik: Display DMS parameters
If: Display Fax parameters
It: Display FXS Setting Parameters
M: Miscellaneous
Me: Configure DHCP parameters
Mf: Configure Hook Flash Timer
Mn: Selectable Configuration of IP Elements
Mp: Configure Phone lines
Mh: Show Syslog
Mi: Configure SNTP server
Mq: Configure Syslog server
Mm: Configure Remote Services
N: Configure Router function
P: Provisioning
Pv: Configure Provisioning setting
Pr: Trigger Provisioning
V: Version number
R: Reset System
Now type in C2 and hit <Enter>
RFC2833 (SDP and 2833 packets) is NEGOTIATED!
Please input your new choice(0:always off,1:always on, 2:negotiated)
Type in 0 and hit <Enter>
INFO: read from NVS_PRIMARY (0x398)
INFO: write to NVS_SECONDARY (0x399)
INFO: write to NVS_PRIMARY (0x399)
FS write: OK.
RFC2833 (SDP and 2833 packets) is ALWAYS OFF (The device still able to receive 2833 packets)!
That's it. Close the Telnet session
I can now negotiate any VM menu just fine.:D:D:D

Okay...just out of curiosity. I've seen this referred to before. What is Telnet and how do I access it?

telnet is a network protocol that lets you enter a device via internet address and port (23). You can open a command prompt and type:
telnet 123.456.789.0
where 123.456.789.0 is the IP address of your ATA device. You can then usually type "h" for help.
FWIW - I wouldn't leave it enabled as it's a security risk.

If you're using Windows, you can click on "start", then "run" and enter the telnet command there, or you can open a "command prompt" window and do the same there.
For some reason, with the Innomedia gizmo, I had better luck opening a "command prompt" window than using "run". Even my fancy Telnet client didn't want to connect.

Hi all,
I'm having an interesting problem and I've spent the better part of the day searching for a solution.
I'm using my SR/InnoMedia Gizmo (firmware 3.0.77) with GizmoProject and Grand Central. DTMF tones didn't work (used Comcast's 800 number as a test), so I changed RFC2833 to ALWAYS OFF, and that solved the problem- but it created a new one. Grand Central announces unknown inbound callers (any number that isn't in your GC contacts page), and you have to press 1 to accept, 2 to reject, and so on. After I switched to ALWAYS OFF, DTMF didn't work on inbound calls, so I couldn't answer the phone. Switched back to NEGOTIATED, and I could accept the unknown incomming calls (used my cell as a test), but now I'm back to not being able to negotiate menus anywhere else. I haven't found any threads that address this on broadbandreports or sunrocketforums, but I can't believe that I'm the only person who's having this problem. Any ideas?
Thanks!

I successfully configured my Innomedia using the helpful guides in these forums and it is working fine. I also was able to fix the DTMF problem with the posted telnet solution.
When I reset and reconfigured my gizmo, I did not check "Enable Provisioning" though because I did not want to risk having it reprovisioned by SunRocket. Should I enable provisioning? Is provisioning necessary for LNP to occur? If so, what Provisioning Servername and Port do I set in?

Absolutely do not enable provisioning. This will allow Teleblend to take over your Gizmo.

I updated my firmware to v. 3.0.79 and dtmf now works with grandcentral and gizmoproject.

Interesting - so you had no issues with 3.0.79? That's about all I have left to try.

As soon as I updated mine it worked right away.

I just uploaded 3.0.79 (logged on to the gizmo and verified), but the situation is still as it was- I can change the RFC2833 setting and either accept incomming calls, or navigate menus on outgoing calls, but not both.
Anybody got an idea?

I have fixed this problem on my gizmo. See below post:
