I am a SR refugee. I connected up and provisioned my Innomedia Gizmo last night. Inbound and outbound calling works great.
But I noticed when I tried to access VT Voice Mail or any other Voice Mail system, after the call is connected, the DTMF signals are not received by the system called.
I searched some forums and found one entry about setting DTMF to "INBAND" on the LinkSys unit.
I logged into the Innomedia Gizmo and searched each page and found nothing.
I read through the Administrator Manual for the Innomedia Gizmo and found nothing.
I called VT tech Support and they had no suggestions other than the Linksys fix.
I even resorted to requesting help from tech support @ Innomedia.com - no response as yet.

I noticed a problem if I entered the PIN number too fast that they were not accepted, I had a similar problem when I was with SR. Try dialing slower and see if it works.
Another thing I just found and tried was to log into the gizmo via telnet (your favorite client should work I use puttytel) use the IP address assigned to the port you are accessing it from, and login with the admin account.
Type H to see all the menu options if desired.
But you can set "SIP INFO for DTMF" by doing this:
type Cs
c
18 {enter}
y
w
Exit telnet session and try it out, it seemed to have helped me at least.

That's great . I'll give it a try tonight, along with a number of other things. I just have to remember to only make one change at a time. and then wait a bit before I try another.
I'll post mu results.
Thanks again.

I got the fix from the DSLReports Forum
The "INBAND" DTMF must be configured via telnet
Configuring 2833 (C2)
Use "C2" command to enable/disable 2833
Telnet to the IP address of the MTA and login with the admin account
You will get a partial list of the commands;
Cr: Enable/Disable Polarity Reversal
C3: Enable/Disable Call Features
Cx: Configuring EMS
C: Configuration: IP Information
Cf: Display the Current IP Information
Ci: Configure the IP Information
Cw: Change Password
E: Exiting and Logout
G: Voice Volume Control
Ga: Set Voice Volume for Each Channel
H: Help Menu
I: Information About this System
Id: Display VoIP DigitMap
Ig: Display Voice Volume Level
Ij: Display Parameters for Jitter Buffer Operation
Is: Display the State of All Ports/Lines
Ix: Display network connection and UA registration status
Ik: Display DMS parameters
If: Display Fax parameters
It: Display FXS Setting Parameters
M: Miscellaneous
Me: Configure DHCP parameters
Mf: Configure Hook Flash Timer
Mn: Selectable Configuration of IP Elements
Mp: Configure Phone lines
Mh: Show Syslog
Mi: Configure SNTP server
Mq: Configure Syslog server
Mm: Configure Remote Services
N: Configure Router function
P: Provisioning
Pv: Configure Provisioning setting
Pr: Trigger Provisioning
V: Version number
R: Reset System
Now type in C2 and hit <Enter>
RFC2833 (SDP and 2833 packets) is NEGOTIATED!
Please input your new choice(0:always off,1:always on, 2:negotiated)
Type in 0 and hit <Enter>
INFO: read from NVS_PRIMARY (0x398)
INFO: write to NVS_SECONDARY (0x399)
INFO: write to NVS_PRIMARY (0x399)
FS write: OK.
RFC2833 (SDP and 2833 packets) is ALWAYS OFF (The device still able to receive 2833 packets)!
That's it. Close the Telnet session
I can now negotiate any VM menu just fine.:D:D:D
