Where do you see that you don't have those fees?
All I see is "No initial equipment fees" which is the cost of the adapter. You still pay shipping/activation fees.

I'm also a Sunrocket scud missle, but I can unlock my AC211n gizmo. When I signed up yesterday for Viatalk using a BYOD option, I was NOT charged for activation, shipping, etc. Has that gone away since 7/19/2007?

I was wondering if there was any benefit to BYOD other than connecting to VT service faster. Do we get a price discount if we BYOD or maybe some extra months of service?

Basically... Is there any advantage other than potentially getting setup faster? Thanks.

No shipping fee. No activation fee.
And if/when you cancel, you don't have to pay to ship back the adapter.

I am a Sunrocket road kill. I don't have those fees plus (up to) 3 months extra service correct?

Is there any advantage to BYOD in my case? Thanks for fast reply!

Actually, I just remembered, you can use the coupon SHIPFREE to get free shipping, but you still have to pay the activation fee.

And if/when you cancel, you will have to pay to ship back the adapter and all the items it came with (owners manual, ethernet cord, box, etc.) if you use ViaTalks adapter.

UPDATE: That coupon is no longer valid. It has been maxed out.
