We are also former SR customers, and were without phone for 2 days, and now suddenly it's working again! Does anyone have any idea why, and how long it might last? Is it working because the Telebrand is taking over for SR? I'm leery of switching to Telebrand also, even though it sounds so easy to port my SR number, and switch. Who is running our phone service now?

I also applied with VT Wed. and paid expedited shipping, processing, etc., and my order is still "pending". Waited 3 hours for the live chat agent, and 1 hour on the phone to talk to a live agent yesterday!

Guess we'll have to wait on VT.

Who is running our phone now???????????????

Well, I bit the $13 bullet ($26 for me) and setup with TeleBlend to keep my SR service active. It's been active already as a forwarding number, which I'm running to our cell phones but they don't work so well here at our home. I submitted my VT order on Tuesday and recognize that they are swamped, so I'm crossing my fingers that things work quickly.

Assuming TeleBlend actually lives up to the hope that they will simply keep SunRocket's systems up and running for the time being, how will that affect my porting to VT? It doesn't appear that TeleBlend will actually be registering an official porting of the number, so as far as I can tell the transfer will stil officially be from SR to VT.

Anybody on here from VT have any idea how long porting will take? I'm not happy that it's been two days with no change in status on my order (order in, but no change, and I paid for rush + next-day shipping). Vonage is ready to deliver ASAP, and expects porting within 10 business days or less (if they can even get it ported).

What does this mean??

If you sign up with us your service will continue uninterrupted. If you do not sign up with us you should locate another service provider as Sunrocket service will be interrupted otherwise. Teleblend is offering you new service, not a continuation of Sunrocket service.

how can they say this unless they *are* SR??

This whole teleblend thing, sounds very shady, the SSL cert was issued today (07/17/2007)
Whats up with that?

My guess is that it is the remnants of Sun Rocket reincarnating. They have no business plan except attracting former SunRocket subscribers. The subscribe now link takes you to a page that only references transferring a SR #.

(Patiently waiting response to Monday's order for VT service)

Hey JAMESINLV, why don't you send me $12.95 a month too? I'll then be here to simply tell you that your SR service might last long enough to port, before your TN is completely lost and goes back in the # pool. You won't have to touch a thing, I promise.
