After placing an order on Friday, with expedited service and the order hasn't moved, not one inch. Despite calling in to confirm that my address verification was received and that they were "taking the order over to shipping right then", nothing has happened what-so-ever.

I'm on the phone with Packet8 as I'm posting this and I was only on hold for about 3 minutes.

I wish ViaTalk luck, but it seems like they should have quit taking orders on Monday and focused on servicing the existing orders.

Thanks to everyone for the assistance in answering questions.

EDIT: I will have my device on Friday.

EDIT2: My "my device" I meant from Packet 8.

EDIT3: I'm no longer leaving VT, sorry for being a hypocritical $#$hole.

I'm bailing on this BS. No change in order at all in well over 24 hours. I think VT has bitten off more than they can chew.

Verizon Voicewing is getting my VoIP business.

I'm in the same boat, and I'm very close to canceling this order. Is there anyway for someone to tell me how far along in the queue my order has progessed?

Hell, at this rate I can sign up using another company and have service TOMORROW.

Please HELP!

What a bunch of whiners!

I am sure that they are doing the best. VT is not the company that screwed us!
SunRocket is!

Give VT a chance to catch their breath and they will help us out as best as they can.

If you can't wait then just leave quietly, please.

My SR is working but spotty. I sent out an email letting everyone know that thye may want to call on our cell#s till this is flushed out.

I am still waiting on VT - though I only ordered BYOD yesterday at noon. I figure it will be a week at best.

Just got my config info a few minutes ago. It took slightly over 2 days for them to complete the BOYD order. So, that's not too bad and I am happy.

Maybe you should try whining to speed things along? :D

If Verizon Voicewing is able to process you order much faster with the flood of SunRocket customers looking for other providers, you should wonder why that is. I'll offer a hint that it's most likely not due to much difference in staffing. And if it's not due to staffing, it's probably due to less ordering. If it's due to a lesser amount of orders, one would wonder why less people are ordering the service.

I like to compare the situation to amusement parks:

The best rides have the longest lines.

How exactly did you get to cancel your order? I can’t even get someone to talk to, via phone, via chat or via ticket….. I am in the dark. Let me out of this travesty. From the SR debacle to this. Something about a frying pan and a fire comes to mind.

Although I have viatalk Verzion has a soft limit of 5000 minutes versus viatalks 4000 minutes. It is plainly posted on verizons page. Where is it on viatalk?
Thanks

I filed a support ticket to Billing with severity URGENT. Of course, about 20 minutes ago they billed me for the invoice, so I guess they will be refunding my order.

FYI: I have memories (no proof) that SR said something like "if you use the phone too much, we will require you to get a business account" or some such. I'm on lots of conference calls, and I didn't ever hit the limit (nor do I know what the limit was).

5100 minutes is an insane amount of talking on the phone. Over 30 days, it's 170 minutes per day, or, basically 1/8th of your life for 30 days on the phone.

I called VT this morning and asked them to provided me with BYOD, I had it up and running about noon, and then tweaked it to my satisfaction.

There are some threads that focus on this @ dslreports.

I applaud your decision, and those who follow you. If you do not get what you are paying for, it is great that you take a stand and not give them anymore of your money. You are in the right, no matter what others say.

I can confidently say....it is YOU who should consider leaving quietly.
