Anyone can do this, for the one-time fee as often as you like.

Is this just for the name, or the number too? I have a GrandCentral number that I want to have displayed on the caller id instead of the phone number VT gives me.

In the residential plan, is there a way to change the Caller ID that's displayed for other people who have caller ID, not necessarily on ViaTalk? Right now it just displays my name, but we want it to say Me and My Wife's name. Or even just "Smith Family". I know supposedly there's some online way to do this for the business plans. Is this available for residential plans?

Thanks!

I would like to know also if it's doable. :D

Yes it can be done, for a fee.
I believe it is $10, and it must be relevant.

Example: Bill Smith cannot have his caller ID say "McDonalds" but he could have it say "The Smiths"

And you have to submit a ticket to have this done.

I'm new. From SR. Do we HAVE to have our information show? I want to be PRIVATE (name & number) on outgoing calls. Is that possible?

If not 'private' then what about ANONYMOUS (but BOTH name and number).

I know with SR, I would sometimes have UNKNOWN as the name display, but then my number would show up!! Other times (about every other month!), both name and number would show and I'd have to call them up and get it fixed.

Just enable caller ID blocking and viola, no more caller ID from your.

Just FYI - we charge $2.95 for a caller ID update. We'll change it to whatever you'd like other than a business name. The maximum length is 12 characters and you can't use any special characters.

You can submit a ticket to technical support with "Directory Listing Change Request" in the subject line. Include in quotes EXACTLY what you want the caller ID to read, and some form of account verification (last 4 digits of CC or account password).

Depending on the CNAM (caller ID name) update schedule of other phone companies, it can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks for everyone you call to see the updated caller ID.

Thanks, Josh. Is that $2.95 per month or one-time?

Stupid question on my part lol. Is that just for the SunRocket new customers, or can any of us get that?
