Anyone have any tips to get the Innomedia MTA 6328-2Re setup to work with viatalk? If so, I may cancel my adapter order.

Thanks.

If it the Innomedia ATA is unlocked from SR yes. And if it supports SIP which it does. Link is below.

Got the Innomedia adapter unlocked and reconfigured thanks to the URLs listed above. Nice job and thanks! :D

Two things to watch....

Make sure you are following the instructions specific to your adapter type (this one is the Innomedia)
Make sure you disconnect from the WAN (as the instructions say) before starting the unlock and configuration

No, I don't know why exactly, but when I followed the steps here (http://gizmopasswords.blogspot.com/2007/07/innomedia-for-viatalk.html), it worked exactly correct the second time.

The first time, I had forgotten to unplug my wan connection and isolate my gizmo.

Thanks to Via:Talk and great forums like this one and the link above, I'm up and running in under 48 hours from the time SR bagged on us, and < 24 hours after placing my order with Via:Talk.

Thanks to all!

After MANY suggestion these instructions finally worked for me. The one difference is I had to go through the WAN port after looking up the IP on my routers DHCP address list. I also discontected my DSL while attempting this.

Hope it helps
David:)

Orginally found at:
http://gizmopasswords.blogspot.com/2007/07/innomedia-gizmo-bricked-try-this.html

Here are some instructions for setting up an InnoMedia gizmo manually, from scratch, in this case using a server on an alternate port.

1. Unplug cable from gizmo WAN port (so you are disconnected from Internet).

2. With PC connected to gizmo LAN port, go to »192.168.251.1 , log in with user and welcome.

3. Open this URL: »192.168.251.1/restore2.ssi ; after about 15 seconds you should see a message about reset to defaults. Wait another 30 seconds.

4. Close browser window. At this point your gizmo should be in the same state as when SR first shipped it to you.

5. Open a new browser window, go to »192.168.251.1/Voice_adminPage.htm (do not open gizmo home page first).

6. When prompted for password, use user: admin and password: slapshot

7. Go to IP Network->Provisioning Setting. Uncheck Enable Provisioning. Click Save & Reboot. Click OK to warning.

8. When prompted, log in again with admin and slapshot . If you have trouble, close window, open another, go to »192.168.251.1/Voice_adminPage.htm

9. Gp to IP Network->Interface Setting. Re-enter your static IP or PPPoE information, if needed. Click Save & Reboot. Click ok to warning.
