what is this for? i opened mine up and it's just pages upon pages of blah!!!! it's all run together. i have a headache now.

I usually un-zip them and change the extension to .xls -- then i open them up in Excel and it allows me to sort them, etc...They're good when you want to know what a specific visitor is doing on your site

ah ha. that looks much better than opening it in stinkin' notepad.

by using this info, and the info from 'webalizer', there really is no way of telling who has visited your site. correct?

I use thecounter.com on my websites (www.thecounter.com). If you have huge amounts of traffic, it won't work for you, but I use it because it tells me for each individual who accesses the site where they came from, what OS/browser/resolution/colors they are using, and where they came from. I have it set up on my page as an invisible counter, so that no one looking at the page sees an ugly counter at the bottom.
