Both numbers are able to be called here as well.
Something must be wrong with my asterisk setup then, because I can't call any toll free number..

I tried to dial several 1-800 numbers today and immediately get a busy tone. Listed below are the numbers I tried to call. I tried them from my cell phone and got through right away. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
1-800-432-1000===> busy signal
1-800-688-2830===> busy signal
1-800-390-1119===> busy signal
1-866-626-7150===> dead air
1-888-539-7474===>busy signal
1-877-337-4748===>busy signal
I have never really had any issues with VT til now. All my settings in my CP would revert to default or sometimes not work at all. Authenticate doesn't work on blocked incoming calls at times and just let the call come in. My online VM picks up instead of my house VM machine when I have my ring seconds in my CP set to INFNITE. Calls have been routed to my network down number when my internet is working fine and no power outages. I am still using the same dial plan since being setup and have had no major issues til now. ViaTalk please read this and tell us what's going. Tell us your dedicated to good service for your current customers. This is the reason I left my last provider. I really enjoy VT but anyone would get upset when the service they pay for is not up to par. I depend on my service so hope your listening to us. I have submitted a ticket and still waiting for a response on this matter. Any help is appreciated. We can only take so much.

Are you SURE you have * setup to send those calls via VT? I haven't yet gotten into * myself, but it's my understanding that * (by default) first checks ENUM to see if the call can be routed "for free", before sending the call onto the predefined trunk.
And guess what? Some of the "toll free" routes are in ENUM, and therefore bypass whatever provider you THOUGHT you were using for the call. And naturally those ENUM provided routes for "toll free" aren't as reliable as the toll free calling of some commercial VoIP providers (such as ViaTalk). So by letting * route toll free calls via ENUM (the default option), you actually lower your chances of the toll free call going through...
My suggestion is to configure * to override the ENUM check for any 800/888/877/866 number, and force those calls to go out via your chosen provider (in this case ViaTalk). If desired, you could still leave the ENUM check in for other calls, to allow you to "call for free" when calling a number specifically added to a common ENUM root. However, you are probably better off not using ENUM for "toll free numbers", as the wildcard ENUM roots for toll free calling are not always the most reliable...

There is nothing wrong in his config. I too had issues while out of town over the 4th. On return I had no call logs from 7/2 til 7/7 , no speed dial( direct dialing worked flawlessly and calls would not go to VM even though they should have. After two calls to tech support and 50mins later all issues were resolved.VT needs to be more upfront with their issues!

I was still having issues with calling 800 numbers and still waiting a reply from VT tech support via email. I decided to call in this morning and the person I spoke to told me to try the dial plan on VTs site and that didn't work either. He said they weren't aware of the issue. I am a BYOD customer and I am glad I am so I can log into my ATA and do my own testings. Guys you won't believe this and why only god knows. Under my line settings in my ATA I took out SanJose-1.vtnoc.net from the 'Proxy Box' and replaced it with the IP Address [216.246.105.138] instead. I then dialed any 800 number and it worked flawlessly. I will monitor it and see how long it stays like this. Below are the server nodes and IP Address.
Sanfrancisco-1.vtnoc.net [216.218.201.134]
SanJose-1.vtnoc.net [216.246.105.138]
Has anyone actually called in or emailed support about this issue? I am waiting for a reply to my ticket. Will post the reply on here once they reply to it. Hope this helps anyone still having issues. If you try the steps I did please come back and tell us what your results were. I got 30 hops for both SanJose & 30 hops for the Sanfrancisco server since their is two now.

i have their device and dont' have a problem dialing 800 numbers, this being said, i have the opposite problem - 800 numbers that call me immediately go to the viatalk voice mail system without ever ringing my phone.
and no, i don't have it set up that way AND i have my phone ring set to infinitely. meaning the voice mail system shouldn't be involved at all.

Sorry, I don't have an answer for the first part 800 #'s going directly to VM, besides the custom call routing patterns, but you can now disable VM entirely through the cp in the VM option tab rather than the "infinite" number of rings settings. I have heard this is the better option.
