37 days and counting:mad: Porting from Vonage to VT. Called Vonage and they say they use a 3rd party for that and had no other information to give me except that I would need a P.O. number from VT to cancel my account?!

Have called VT a few times and most recently opened a ticket on Monday 5/14. Now it's Friday 5/18 and I've had no response to that ticket.

HRTONYA -- can you help me out? You seem to have a good head on your shoulders. Should it take 35+ days to port from Vonage? If not ported by 6/8, I will be canceling VT as I refuse to pay a third month for 2 providers and I'm not too keen a getting a new number - kinda' defeats the purpose of changing providers to save a little money.

At this rate, I'll need to stay with VT for 3 years to recoup the cost of having to pay 2-3 months to 2 providers. The wife is already telling me "I told you so"

It only took about 15 dats for VT to port my number from Vonage. Sorry to hear that you're having a more difficult time.

What did VT tell you when you called them?

Someone should be able to tell you something as to why it is taking so long.

Rec'd tonight after escalating my ticket:

Porting

Hi John,

We are very sorry for the delay you are experiencing. At this time, we are finding that with some of the current issues Vonage is facing, the porting time has been slightly extended.

Please check back with us in the middle of next week and we would be happy to check on any updates for you.

Thank you for your business and your patience.

ViaTalk Porting Dept.

Guess I'll call back next week as requested.
