View Full Version : Cannot enable SMS?

I am having a problem setting up the SMS Voicemail notification. I put in all the necessary information, click "add", the page refreshes with "Voicemail settings updated" listed. However I see nothing added to the screen but I decide to give a try and leave myself a message but I get no SMS notification.
Any help appreciated.

Might be the length of the phone number you are putting in. Try adding with the 1 in front of the number. I just tried it without the 1 and it didn't add, but when I tried it again it did. so who knows.
It seemed as if certain cell providers want the 1 and some don't. Who is your cell provider and I can try a fake number from my CP?

My cell phone provider is Verizon Wireless. I have put the 1 before the number. I will try without it.

cha3 - Thanks for your help. Removing the "1" fixed the problem.

Great.
For Verizon, the one cannot be used. For some others it can be used. Looks as if the 1 is often added by the CP for some providers automatically if not typed in.
