Caller ID doesn't always display name

I haven't received my PAP2 yet, but I've been testing things via softphone. It appears that my name doesn't show up when I place a call (outgoing caller id), instead the person sees "Raleigh NC" or "Unknown". I'm wondering if this is simply a time issue and all databases not being up-to-date or if this is something that one should expect. I am coming from Vonage where I received the same issues when I placed calls (my folks never wanted to answer my calls because it said Unknown!). Anyone have any info on this?

This is just temporary. When you first sign-up for VT service, VT submits your account name so that it can get propagated to the 17 different Caller ID lookup databases out there. IIRC, that can take a week or so (someone correct me if I am mistaken on the amount of time it takes). Anyways, if it goes on too long, just contact VT and they will take care of you.

Gotcha. Thanks for the quick reply. I never did anything with Vonage because dealing with their support was less than appealing. I've already been in contact with VT support with other questions and had my questions answered quickly and accurately, so we'll give it some time, then bug them if necessary.
