I intend to buy a cordless phone set (2). I read the Wiring Instructions on VT but it only shows a one phone installation. My question is how do I set up the second phone ?? I want to put it on the 2nd floor. Thanks

Your post was unclear. Are you planning to get a cordless phone that supports "2 phone lines" (such as the Uniden TRU-8866 phone I use at home, and like a lot), or did you mean you want a (1-line) phone with 2 separate handsets with one base station? Or...?
If you are just trying to hook a 2-extension (1 "line") wireless phone base station up to VoIP, just use a standard phone cable to connect your VoIP adapter to your wireless phone base station (and be happy). The important thing is not how many wireless handsets a single wireless "base station" can handle, but how many different "phone lines" you are cabling up. So if it's only one "line" (i.e. a single call at a time), than the setup is essentially the same as with any other single line phone hookup (i.e. trivial).
If OTOH you are spending the money for a 2-line wireless phone set (as I did, btw), than just cable up both "phone lines" (and either "phone line" can either be an output/phone jack from your VoIP adapter, or you telco/POTS line if you still have a telco phone line) to your phone base station, and be happy with "both phone lines" being available from all phones powered by that wireless base station. For example, I cabled up my telco/POTS line as "Line 1" on my phones, and the output of my VoIP adapter (I use an SPA-3000 right now) as "Line 2" on my wireless phones. This makes either option (VoIP or my legacy telco phone) available from any of my wireless phones active from that base station (currently I have 8 phone wireless handsets/extensions, but the Uniden TRU-8866 I'm using can be extended up to 10 2-line phones).
NOTE:
Most 2-line "phones" (including the Uniden base station I have) give you two phone jacks (as an option) for input. So it becomes real easy to combine two different sources (such as a telco/POTS line, and a VoIP adapter) in that case (as you just cable up one "line" to one jack, and the other "line" to the other jack). However, if you happen to have a 2-line "phone" (or wireless phone base station) that only has a single 2-line (4-wire) phone jack, than just use one of those 2-line to 2 single phone line adapters you can buy for $5-$10 at many places that sell phone line accessories (and that adapter will give you essentially the same result as if your phone had the two phone jacks to begin with).

You can use an expandable cordless phone set with 1 base and plug it into your ATA, and have handsets allover the house.
Or you can disconnect the phone line coming in from the phone company and plug your ATA in to a wall jack and all wall jacks will work. (Search the forums or the FAQ to see how to disconnect from the phone co.) You cannot do this if you are using DSL for an internet connection or are keeping a POTS line for some strange reason.
