Hi,

I just recently got the Pap2t-na with new ViaTalk service a month or so ago.
I have been trying to login to the admin screens, but get a prompt for
userid and password. I think I am s.o.l. with a locked unit. Do you know if
that is so and does anyone know the userid/pwd??? I also get request
for password using phone method.

Just submit a ticket to VT and request the admin password to your adapter.

Are you sure it's an N/A. Where did you get it?

I'm not sure on the password but linksys default is usually, user name: admin Password: Admin or blank for a username. Give those a shot.

If you received the adapter from ViaTalk, just submit a ticket asking for the admin password.

If you received this device from say E-Bay, you probably got a locked adapter.

if it is really a -NA version, then you can probably reset it... hit ****, then dial RESET# (73738#) and enable that, when you log out it should factory reboot. That will nuke everything. After that you can either use VT central provisioning (if you want) or put in the settings manually

hope that helps

Yep.

The userID of pretty much all LinkSys/Sipura adapters (including teh ViaTalk supplied PAP2) is:

"admin" is the userID for the "Admin account"

"user" for the userID less powerful "User account"

Of course, the passwords for these accounts can be pretty much anything. But the account IDs ("admin" and "user" are pre-set by the adapters, and can't be updated).
