SAP-3102 More Echo Suppression

Does anyone know what the More Echo Suppression, listed on the Regional tab, does? It is off by default. Has anyone noticed any plus or minus effect by enabling this parameter?

I don't have that setting on my older SPA-3000, and a quick google of the question seems to confirm that's a setting in just the newest LinkSys firmwares. So I suppose you'll just have to "try it and see" if it helps.

This setting expands the echo cancellation coverage millisecond setting. Turning it on basically extends the coverage from 8 or 16 to 32ms coverage to attempt to eliminate echo.

That would really come in handy for some people that are experiencing echo problems! Now, I'm sure that adding to the echo cancellation adds a little "latency". However, I can see that as a very worthwhile trade-off, if it allows the echo cancellation to work better!
