Hey all thought I would get a new thread started. After looking all over the net and can't find a thing on a WRTP54G router that is opened, Figure I would get a thread started for BYOD with screenshots for others to see. and also for others to share there settings from there devices also.
This way we all can share our BYOD device settings with others. At least this way Newbie ViaTalk members will be able to see settings from different devices and if they have the same one the settings will be there for them to see.

Great idea. I am just starting with VoIP and VT. I wanted to use my current PSTN in parallel with VT to allow for a safety net until I can cut the PSTN and run. So for that reason, I am trying a SPA-3102 and VT.
I can post my entire config as an html. It looks just like your are talking directly to the device. The passwords are all asterisk. But to start with, I will just post the changes from factory default (in comment form). I think that is easier to follow:
# SPA 3102 config changes from factory reset
# http://<IP>/admin/advance/voice
# config for the following scenario
# VT VoIP In/Out bound calls from handset
# PSTN Inbound Ring Thru
# PSTN Outbound per control from Dial Plan
# Initial Dial Plan to provided for limited VoIP testing for select numbers
# Regional
Feature Dial Services Codes: *123S0 # for VT VM, can be here on in the DP
Time Zone: GMT-07:00
# Line 1
NAT Mapping Enable: yes # not needed, but Voxzilla wizard wants it
NAT Keep Alive Enable: yes # not needed, but Voxzilla wizard wants it
NAT Keep Alive Mgs: <blank> # not needed, but listed in Sipura's examples
Proxy: sanfrancisco-1.nocvt.net # closest to me on VT's BYOD list
Display Name: My Family
User ID: 12223334444
Password: dirtysecret
DTMF Tx Method: Inband # (or INFO,) lets me use audix
Dial Plan: (911S0<:@gw0> # 911 to PSTN
| 411S0 # 411 to VT
| 0! # no default international or operator
| 395xxxxS0 # test some calls through VT
| <##,:>*.xx. # override to VT, *-codes and numbers
| <#0,:>xx.<:@gw0> # override to PSTN, numbers only
| 1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0 # long distance to VT
| [2-9]xxxxxxS0<:@gw0> # default 7-digit numbers to PSTN
| xx. # other numbers to VT
# all Regional Vertical Service Codes here
)
# PSTN Line
PSTN-To-VoIP Gateway Enable: no # don't want this function
SPA To PSTN Gain: -2 # seems to stop the Ring Thru echo cancel failure
PSTN To SPA Gain: -2 # seems to stop the Ring Thru echo cancel failure
# PSTN User
Default Ring: 3 # just for fun, make PSTN Ring Thru ring different
# now add in other Outbound gateways (FWD, at least)
# SIP
Substitute VIA Addr: yes # listed in Sipura’s examples
STUN Enable: yes # needed by this fwd config
STUN Server: stun.fwdnet.net # any STUN server should do
# Line 1
Gateway 1: fwd.pulver.com
GW1 NAT Mapping Enable: yes
GW1 Auth ID: 123456
GW1 Password: dirtysecret
add to Dial Plan: <#1,:>*.xx.<:@gw1> # override to FWD, *-codes and numbers
Everything on the dial plan has been tested OK. Just adding the VT proxy, UID and PW had me working "out of the box". I had 2 initial problems (with both fixes suggested by VT support!!!):
1) DTMF did no trigger any response when I called my work VM system (Audix). Changing the DTMF Tx method from Auto to Inband took care of that one. INFO also works. Is there a suggested preference?
2) I had a horrible echo, mostly canceled, on Ring Thru calls from the PSTN, or calls routed out to the PSTN. I tweaked the SPA To PSTN and PSTN To SPA Gains down by 2 DB. I think that has solved that problem.
So, is there lots of SPA 3102 expertise on this forum? I will continue to report on what I learn, but I would certainly like suggestions from others.
Bye for now.
