If your entire home is wired correctly then use a splitter. Connect it to the port that has the active VT line or connect it directly to the wall outlet, then run one wire from the splitter to the wall outlet this should send signal through the entire house and all lines should be active then.
PS: Before doing this my advice is going outside the house and finding the POTS box from the local Telco phone company and opening the box and disconnect the wires that come down from the pole on the street to the box attached to your home. The telco uses a very high voltage compared to your VoIP adapter and you can damage it that way. You can also label them in case your not home and the telephone guys come by and decide to look at it. You can put something like " DO NOT RECONNECT WILL DAMAGE INSIDE VOIP EQUIPMENT". Below is a picture of the splitter and you can get them at any local store like Radio Shack or Wal-Mart.

Please note that only users with Cable internet service can use the existing wall jacks. DSL users cannot disconnect the service from the outside box. For more info please see the following link:

It's true you can't just disconnect all the telco when you have DSL. However, you can still do "whole house" wiring with DSL, you just have to be a little more careful about which wires go where. I know this for a fact, as I've done it here.
The general idea is:
1) Run a new wire (or use an unused pair of your existing phone wiring, if you have enough unused wires in the existing phone bundle) from the telco to the jack where you want the DSL modem to go. This will allow your DSL to work (because your DSL modem will still get the "unfiltered" signal from the telco).
2) If (like me) you have to keep your telco/POTS anyway (as a condition of getting DSL service), than IMHO you might as well make use of it. So filter that telco/DSL line as it enters your house, and than put the "filtered" (i.e. with the DSL signals removed) telco on a set of phone wires on your home phone jacks. This will give your phone one "phone line" that has your POTS service on it, and you will NOT have to put those "DSL filters" on each device (as you will already have filtered the DSL before sending it to your normal telco jacks).
3) Have another pair of phone wires enabled on each phone jack, but NOT hooked up to the telco. Take the output of your VoIP adapter, and put it on that 2nd pair of wires.
Voila! DSL works (as it has a direct run to the telco), POTS phone works as one "phone line" (as it's DSL filtered, and sent on the phone wiring), and VoIP works (as a 2nd "phone line"). And any 2-line phones in the house can happily use either "phone line" (either the telco/POTS line, or the VoIP) as desired!
