chicago-1.vtnoc.net server down???

I'm getting "Can't connect to login server" on the PAP2's registration state, so I pinged the server and I'm getting 50% packet loss to that server? Is this server down as part of the expansion?

I was having similar problems with this server this morning until I power cycled my entire network.Not that difficult be just a pain. I did notice a fast busy, long delay between last # dail, and calls going straight to VM.

Currently I'm not having any issues. Not sure about earlier though, although I did receive some calls this morning already.

I'm on the chicago-1 server and have had no problems as of yet today.

Unfortunately I had to go to work so I couldn't troubleshoot further... I just noticed this morning that the light on the PAP2 would come on and go off about every 10 min. which lead me to check the status on the info page. I ran "testyourvoip" to make sure it wasn't the ISP and it returned a 4.2. Then I ran pingplot to chicago-1.vtnoc.net and was getting errors on the last 4 of 14 hops. The hops that were coming up with errors were as follows:

216.246.92.102
216.246.94.94
216.246.50.94

Anyway, I'll have to see how it is when I get home later tonight. Just wanted to see if anyone else was having issues.

Ok... Well tonight when I got home from work I checked the Chicago-1 server again. Sure enough I was still getting bad ping times and over 25% packet loss. So I went through the process of going through all the servers and checking their ping times and number of hops. I found that Houston-1 had the best ping times from my location but when I tried it the call was terrible and had over 300 packets lost (according to the pap2 info page) in the first min. Ok, so it was on to Sanfrancisco... Bingo, not great but decent ping times (60ms) but absolutely no loss! Call quality is back on par to what I had on Chicago-1 about 3 days ago. I don't know what happened to Chicago but I think I'm good again! :)
