Not too long ago, a new feature called "Outbound Caller ID Exception List" was added to the Call Privacy feature. This allows you to be able to enable general outgoing CID blocking while allowing an exception list.

I would also like to see the opposite implemented. I would like to be able to generally allow the outgoing CID to be sent, but have an "Outbound Caller ID Exception List" that will block the CID for a list of users.

I was waiting for my number to port before opening a ticket but it does not send the cid info that I have setup for specific numbers. It should work from the beginning right? Have tried it enabled and disabled. No effect.

Are you referring to inbound or outbound?

Outbound in my case...Inbound works fine.

Not quite sure what you are referring to here, but I think, your asking why your custom caller id doesn't work on out bound calls?

Custom caller id applies only to inbound calls. You outbound caller ID is always your name and number, or it is blocked.

was only halfway paying attention on that feature. I was thinking the name was not for who I was calling but what info they would see on their caller id.
I reread the wording.. "Any numbers listed below will receive outbound caller ID information". I read it as "will receive THE outbound caller ID information".
